hollandlee asked: Hi Tanya I love your work, especially your icons. I had a basic question for you.

When working with very small scale icons or pictograms (32 x 32 px or so), do you have any special pre or post-production techniques for ensuring that curved or angled lines render cleanly/clearly? Oftentimes even when I have "snap to pixel grid" on, my non-90 degree angle lines render very jagged.

Is there any difference in clarity between creating vectors in Illustrator then importing into Photoshop (as a smart object or what not), vs. creating the vector in Photoshop to begin?

Any other tips? Thanks in advance!

David

Hi David,

I think this answer by a colleague of mine, GUI designer Misha Kvakin may be of some use: http://www.quora.com/What-are-the-best-techniques-for-creating-and-polishing-small-scale-pictograms-and-icons-48x48-px-or-less
